Mysterious Rooms of the RMS TITANIC...

The virtual commemorative tour of the RMS TITANIC, hosted by Janice Hanna Thompson, enters day three, today, as the famous ship sets out into the North Atlantic. It is a very happy time aboard ship, with few mishaps and most passengers enjoying some of the best times of their lives. The food is superb, the accommodations more than expected (even in third class), and there are endless fascinations to explore. One of which is the subject of today's "mystery picture."

Any idea what kind of a room this might be? If so, leave your answer in the comment area below, and all those that are correct will get their name thrown into the Captain's hat, for a prize drawing after the cruise. What kind of a prize? A souvenir from one of the locations on my MYSTERY TOUR, of which I will be bringing back several from all the mysterious places we visit along the way.

In the meantime, take a look at my column ON THE PROMENADE, today, where I describe how I spent a day in first class. Which was definitely a first for me...

  1. turkish baths

finding these posts incredibly hard to read. I grew up in Southampton, could see the docks from Nanna's house - its also the 30th anniversary of the Falklands war and we watched all those ships sail. Not all of them came back either.

  2. This is wonderful Lilly! I'm enjoying the reporting and stand amazed at your prodigeous imagination to put this all together! I look forward to reading each morning.

  3. My condolences, Clare... I will try to "do justice" to the memories as the week goes on. I must say I envy the "living history" you British seem to carry around in each individual heart. Truly a tie that binds!

Oh, yes, and I'm putting your name in the Captain's hat, too. But more on that bit, later. Thanks for stopping by!

  4. Lovely to hear that, Carol, thank you! And -- just between you and me -- there's a bit of a secret to the way I move around in history...

So glad you made it aboard, after all!
